K lite codec player

K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of audio and video components for Microsoft Windows that enables the operating system and its software to play back various audio and video formats generally not supported by the operating system itself. K-Lite Codec Pack also includes several related tools, including Media Player Classic, GSpot Codec Information Appliance, and Codec Tweak Tool.[3]

Editions

There are five editions of K-Lite Codec Pack, all being available free of charge.[3]
  1. Basic: The Basic edition is the smallest version and enables a Microsoft Windows computer to play Matroska (MKV), MP4, Ogg and Adobe Flash video (FLV) files, in addition to various types of AVI files. It only consists of ffdshow (for audio and video decoding), DirectVobSub (for subtitle decoding), Codec Tweak Tool and four other minor components. This edition does not come with Media Player Classic.[5]
  2. Standard: The Standard edition includes all features of the Basic edition plus a DVD Video decoder, Media Info Lite and Media Player Classic Home Cinema. This edition enables DVD playback in Microsoft Windows.[6] This package is recommended for normal users.[3]
  3. Full: The Full edition includes 31 additional components and four additional tools beyond those included in the Standard edition, as well as adding video encoding capabilities to Microsoft Windows PCs. However, no encoding or conversion tool is included in the package.[7]
  4. Mega: The K-Lite Mega Codec Pack is a combination of K-Lite Codec Pack Full and fourteen additional components not present in any other edition. Amongst these components, there is the original Media Player Classic as well as Media Player Classic Home Cinema, GSpot Codec Information Appliance, and FourCC Changer.[8]
  5. 64-bit: The 64-bit K-Lite Codec Pack is an independent package of codecs that can be used with 64-bit players on a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows. This edition can co-exist with one of the other editions, and in fact the developers recommend installing the 64-bit pack after installing one of the regular packs.[4]
In the past some versions of K-Lite Codec Pack included BS.Player (until it was supplemented with an adware package).[9]

Snow bros collection

Description

Snow Bros Screenshot
The gameplay of Snow Bros is very similar to Bubble Bobble, released in 1986. The game supports up to two players, with each player taking the part of one of two snowmen Nick and Tom. Each player can throw snow at the enemies. The player must throw snow at each enemy until it is completely covered, when it turns into a snowball. An enemy partially covered in snow cannot move until it shakes it off.
Once an enemy has been turned into a snowball the player can roll it. The snowball will re-bound off walls, until eventually shattering against a wall. Any enemies the snowball rolls into are eliminated and other stationary snowballs start rolling when the rolling snowball touches them. If the player manages to take out all of the enemies with kicking one snowball (this one snowball may be used to make others bounce around as well and increase the chances to pull this trick off), money in the form of large green bills will fall from the sky. These disappear in a very short amount of time but are worth 10,000 points each, the most the player can get as a bonus.
Every tenth level there is a boss. Each boss can sustain being hit a number of times. In Sega Genesis port, after the 50th level, you play as one of the snow castle princesses.
When a player bowls an enemy over, it may drop a potion bottle. The color of the potion lets the player know what special power-up he or she will acquire:
  • Red increases walking speed.
  • Blue increases amount of snow thrown, thus making it easier to cover an enemy in snow.
  • Yellow increases the distance that snow can be thrown.
  • Green causes your character to inflate like a balloon while having the ability to fly around screen and knock out enemies for a limited period of time.
The effects of the red, blue, and yellow potion wear off after the player loses a life.
If the player takes too much time to complete a level an evil pumpkin head will come and try to kill the player character. It is invincible but can be stunned and sent to appear somewhere else in the level with snowballs or snow shots. After a short time the evil pumpkin will spawn ghosts that can travel freely through the level and seek the player character. These ghosts can't be killed or stunned, so the player's only hope is to avoid them while eliminating the rest of the enemies to move on to the next screen as soon as possible.

VLC media player

VLC media player (also known as VLC) is a highly portable free and open-source media player and streaming media server written by the VideoLAN project. It is a cross-platform media player, with versions for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, BeOS, MorphOS, BSD, Solaris, iOS, and eComStation.[5]
VLC media player supports many audio and video compression methods and file formats, including DVD-video, video CD and streaming protocols. It is able to stream over computer network and to transcode multimedia files.[5]
VLC used to stand for VideoLAN Client, but since VLC is no longer simply a client, that initialism no longer applies.[6][7]
The default distribution of VLC includes a large number of free decoding and encoding libraries, avoiding the need for finding/calibrating proprietary plugins. Many of VLC's codecs are provided by the libavcodec library from the FFmpeg project, but it uses mainly its own muxer and demuxers and its own protocols. It also gained distinction as the first player to support playback of encrypted DVDs on Linux and Mac OS X by using the libdvdcss DVD decryption library.

Peggle Deluxe

Peggle is a casual puzzle video game developed by Sukhbir Sidhu and Brian Rothstein of PopCap Games. Initially released for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X systems in 2007, it has since had versions released for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, the Nintendo DS (with the help of Q Entertainment), Windows Mobile, the iPod, the iPhone OS, Zeebo and Android; the game has also been ported as a Java application, and an extended minigame incorporated into the massively multiplayer online game World of Warcraft. A sequel was released in September 2008, titled Peggle Nights.
Inspired by pachinko and bagatelle, each level of Peggle challenges the player to shoot a limited supply of balls at a field of colored pegs to clear out specifically marked pegs while attempting to achieve a high score through skilled shot planning. Special powers associated with a number of cartoon "Peggle Masters" can be activated to aid the player in this task. Peggle initially sold slowly but was boosted by the inclusion of a specially designed demonstration in Valve's The Orange Box, and has since enjoyed over 50 million downloads from the Internet. Both its release on Xbox Live Arcade and the iPhone OS have enjoyed similar success.

Pixelus deluxe

Pixelus is a 2005 video puzzle game released for the PC. A deluxe version was released later in the year. The story follows a young Greek man named Claudius who is shipwrecked and rebuilds temple mosaics in order to gain the favor of the gods.[1] The game takes mechanics from Guru Logi Champ and adds a new look and original puzzles.

Gameplay

The objective of Pixelus is to create specific images on a 16x16 grid using a limited number of tiles. Players must slide tiles across the grid and land them in specific locations to form an image. Areas where tiles must be placed are often not immediately accessible. For this reason, tiles must often be used to block other tiles, then removed and placed in other locations. During gameplay, players may choose to reset the puzzle, go back one move, and receive a hint. On completing a puzzle, players can receive gold, silver, or bronze medals based on how few moves they used. The gameplay of Pixelus is a clone of the Japanese 2001 game Guru Logi Champ published for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance platform.

Team Viewer

TeamViewer is a proprietary computer software package for remote control, desktop sharing, online meetings, web conferencing and file transfer between computers. The software operates with the Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X,[1][2] Linux,[3] iOS,[4] and Android[5] operating systems. It is possible to access a machine running TeamViewer with a web browser.[6] While the main focus of the application is remote control of computers, collaboration and presentation features are included.[7]
TeamViewer GmbH was founded in 2005 in Uhingen, Germany. TeamViewer is now owned by GFI.

Establishing connections

TeamViewer may be installed with an installation procedure, although the 'Quick Support' version will run without installation.[8] To connect to another computer, TeamViewer has to be running on both machines. To install TeamViewer administrator access is required, but once installed it can be run by any user. When TeamViewer is started on a computer, it generates a partner ID and password (user-defined passwords are also supported). To establish a connection from a local client to a remote host machine, the local operator must communicate with the remote operator, request the ID and password, then enter these into the local TeamViewer.[9]
To start an online meeting the presenter gives the Meeting ID to their participants. They join the meeting by using the TeamViewer full version or by logging on to http://go.teamviewer.com/ and enter the Meeting ID.[10]
It is also possible to schedule a meeting in advance.[10]

Linux port

TeamViewer for Linux is based upon the Windows version using Wine. Additionally, /opt/teamviewer/teamviewer/$tv_ver/bin/teamviewer contains links to a wrapper of a Windows executable:
export TV_BINDIR=/opt/teamviewer/teamviewer/$tv_ver/bin
exec "$TV_BINDIR"/wrapper "c:\Program Files\TeamViewer\Version$tv_ver\TeamViewer.exe" "$@"

Security

TeamViewer uses RSA private/public key exchange (1024-bit) and AES (256-bit) session encoding.[11]
In the default configuration, TeamViewer uses one of the servers of TeamViewer.com to start the connection and the routing of traffic between the local client and the remote host machine. However in 70% of the cases after the handshake a direct connection via UDP or TCP is established.[12]

Feeding frenzy 2

Feeding Frenzy is an arcade-style aquatic game written by Sprout Games, and published by PopCap Games. With an initial debut in 2004, it saw re-release on the Xbox Live Arcade service, with versions for both the original Xbox and the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 version, released March 15, 2006, was the 17th most popular Xbox Live Arcade title for 2006.[1]
In February 2006, the sequel to this game, Feeding Frenzy 2: Shipwreck Showdown was released.[2]

Gameplay

In Feeding Frenzy, players control a hungry marine predator intent on munching as many other fish as possible. During the course of the game's 40 levels, you will switch off between 5 marine animals. The last level is where you attempt to dethrone a large shark, the "Shark King", using Orville the Orca. The player takes on the role of different aquatic species each trying to move up the food chain. As smaller fish are eaten, the player's own fish grows in size and becomes capable of eating somewhat larger fish. By the end of each level, the fish is sufficiently large enough that it can eat almost anything on-screen. Players must be vigilant for hazards which include depth charges, larger predators, naval mines, radiation-poisoned fish, and jellyfish.
If the player eats a sufficiently large number of fish in a short period of time, a score-enhancing Feeding Frenzy is initiated. If the player continues to rapidly consume other fish, a further Double Frenzy can be achieved. These both end when a short period of time without further rapid consumption elapses.
The full game includes both a normal mode and a "time attack" mode.

Fishes

  • Andy-The first playable fish. He is an angel fish. His only ability is a quick dash, or burst of speed.
  • Leon-The second playable fish. He is a lion fish. While playing with Leon, you get the suck ability.
  • Eddie-The third playable fish. He is an angler fish. The creators made a mistake in saying Eddie was a male, as only females grow that size and live that lifestyle.
  • J.D.-The fourth playable fish. He is a john dory fish.
  • Orville-The fifth and last playable animal. He is an orca.

Google Chrome 21.0

Google Chrome is a freeware web browser developed by Google that uses the WebKit layout engine. It was first released as a beta version for Microsoft Windows on September 2, 2008, and the public stable release was on December 11, 2008. As of May 2012, Google Chrome has approximately 33% worldwide usage share of web browsers, making it the most widely used web browser, according to StatCounter.[1]
In September 2008, Google released a large portion of Chrome's source code as an open source project called Chromium.[2][3]

Features

Google Chrome aims to be secure, fast, simple[82] and stable. There are extensive differences from its peers in Chrome's minimalistic user interface,[8] which is atypical of modern web browsers.[83] For example, Chrome does not render RSS feeds.[84] Chrome's strength is its application performance and JavaScript processing speed, both of which were independently verified by multiple websites to be the swiftest among the major browsers of its time.[85][86] Many of Chrome's unique features had been previously announced by other browser developers, but Google was the first to implement and publicly release them.[87] For example, its most prominent graphical user interface (GUI) innovation, the merging of the address bar and search bar (the Omnibox), was first announced by Mozilla in May 2008 as a planned feature for Firefox.[88]

Big money deluxe ( with reg key)

Gameplay

The game takes place on a grid full of colored coins. Like in Collapse and SameGame, the player must click on groups of three or more same colored coins to make them disappear. On the side of the screen is the "Money Meter". It is increased by removing coins from the board, and once it is filled up, a money bag will drop into the playfield. It is collected if the coins underneath it are removed. When the player collects the required amount of money bags, the next level will begin.
The game has two main modes. In "Action Mode", the coins rise constantly, while in "Strategy Mode", the coins will only rise when the player clears a group. In the full version only, there is also a "Puzzle Mode", where the player must clear a certain coin arrangement

There are 3 types of gameplay:
  • Regular: The player may select where to drop the falling game blocks (these are the blocks at the top of the game screen that fall down), but has no control over where the next floating block will pop up (these are the blocks that appear at the bottom of the game screen and float up). There is no time limit in Regular mode.
  • Strategy: Strategy mode is a slower paced game where the player can control the position of either the falling or the floating block each turn, but not both at the same time.
  • Speed: Speed mode offers a drastic change of pace from the other modes. It is similar to Regular mode in that the player controls only the placement of the falling blocks, but the floating blocks float up every few seconds, regardless of whether the player has dropped a block or not. Each level gets a little faster.

Gameplay

There are four game modes: Endless, Stomped, Fossil, and Time Trial.

Endless Puzzle

Rows of eggs of various colors descend from the top of the screen. You must use your slingshot to shoot your own supply of eggs up at them. When three or more eggs of the same color match, they will explode. If the mass of eggs descend to the bottom of the screen, the entire screen will be crushed by the foot of Mama Brontosaurus, and the game will end.
An interesting aspect to make the game increasingly difficult as you play a single game for a longer amount of time is the inclusion of Whirley. Every minute or so during gameplay, a dinosaur will announce "Whirley's coming!", and soon after, Whirley (a purple pterodactyl) will fly across the screen carrying an egg of a color not yet on your screen. The sequence is red, green, blue, yellow, violet, white, gray. (If playing in easy mode, it starts with just red, green, and blue. In medium mode, it starts with red, green, blue, yellow. In hard mode, it starts with red, green, blue, yellow, violet, and white.) If Whirley is allowed to fly across the screen untouched, the color of his egg will be added to the pallet of colors in the egg mass, and the rate of the eggs' descent will reset to the default slow speed. However, if you shoot and hit Whirley, the color will not be added, but the rate at which the eggs descend will increase. Some eggs in egg mass will occasionally vibrate for a short period of time. If they are made to explode while still vibrating, a player soon receives a special egg for the slingshot that offers some form of bonus when shot and eventually forced to explode: the play area either narrows or widens to increase/decrease the speed of the dropping egg mass, the player receives a one time bonus of (50, 100, 200) points, an automatic score multiplier (2x, 3x or 4x) for period of time or, also for period of time, the ability to see the full trajectory (including rebounds) of the egg to be shot.

Stomped

A difficult puzzle arrangement appears on the screen. The goal is to clear the arrangement by shooting matching eggs of the corresponding colour next to it. However, every egg you shoot will increase Mama Bronto's anger meter. Every time the meter gets full, Mama Bronto pushes the puzzle down one notch with her foot, making the board more difficult to accomplish.

Fossil

A piece of a dinosaur fossil is surrounded by eggs, and you must shoot matching eggs to break the piece free and add it to a collection of completed fossils. Like Endless Puzzle, if the eggs and fossil piece reach the bottom of the screen, Mama Bronto will crush the screen and the game is over.

Time Trial

A multi-layered arrangement of eggs (ranging from 60 rows and only basic colors in Easy mode to 15 layers and every color in Hard mode) must be cleared by shooting the correctly colored eggs at the ones on screen. Unlike the other games, this one is not timed; it only keeps a record of how long you took to defeat any given difficulty.

Rocket Mania (with reg key)

In Rocket Mania, players earn points by quickly and skillfully launching fireworks. This is done by rotating fuse segments on a grid in order to form a path between sources of flame on the left and firework rockets on the right. As the two are connected, the rockets launch, earning points. Bonus points can be earned by launching multiple rockets at once, which is possible since the fuse segments often contain 3-way or 4-way junction pieces, effectively splitting the path of the flame. After a rocket launch, all fuse segments which were touched by the flames are eliminated and replaced by new random fuse segments (with existing pieces falling downward to fill any gaps).
Connections are helpfully color-coded in order to easily identify fuse segments which are connected to a source of fire or to one or more rockets. Players often find it helpful to work backwards (from the rockets), allowing setup of a multiple rocket launch before making connection with fuse segments already connected to flames.

Items and coins

The game features bonus items which randomly appear on various fuse segments. These include gems (worth extra points), bombs (which blow up all nearby fuses, but also any items), and clocks (which temporarily freeze the game countdown timer). These items are earned when the fuse segment they are placed upon is burned.
Coins can be collected in the same fashion, and after each level, the coins are automatically spent to upgrade the point-value of some of the rockets, making future launches of these rockets more valuable. 5 coins upgrade one rocket, to a maximum of 1000 points, and for every upgrade the rockets take on new appearances, ultimately ending up as "Dragon Rockets". After all rockets have been fully upgraded (to level 10), every additional coin which is collected is converted into points.
New items are placed onto the existing fuse segments at a faster rate if the player successfully performs large, multi-rocket launches. Larger launches increase the number of coins that drop onto the fuses as well.

Modes

In addition to the classic mode, the game also includes an arcade mode, and a strategy mode. In the arcade mode, there is no time limit, but new fuse segments continuously fall from the top of the screen, filling up the available play area. Players can somewhat shift the position of falling pieces, but must otherwise quickly launch rockets to consume existing fuse segments. If any column of the board completely fills up, the game ends.
In the strategy mode, the player has only a limited number of matches, and the game ends when all of them have been used. New matches appear on the field whenever the player launches three or more rockets; these must be picked up within a limited time by burning the fuse segments on which they appear. Since a single match can launch more than one rocket if the fuses are set up properly, it is to the player's advantage to launch as many as possible at the same time. This mode encourages slower, more deliberate play, with careful planning required in order to extend play time.

Bookworm deluxe (with reg key)

Bookworm (or Bespelled) is a word-forming computer puzzle game by PopCap Games. From a grid of available letters, players connect letters to form words. As words are formed, they are removed from the grid and the remaining letters collapse to fill the available space. As in Scrabble, players earn more points by creating longer words or words which use less common letters. In November 2006, PopCap Games released a spiritual successor, Bookworm Adventures. Bookworm was released for the Nintendo DS digital distribution service DSiWare on November 30, 2009.[3] It has also been released on the regular Nintendo DS cartridge. [4]

Tile types

In addition to standard letters, tiles of various colors can appear depending both on the current level within the game and on the length of words being formed. Short words tend to increase the appearance of negative tiles, while longer words increase the appearance of positive tiles. The tile colors are as follows:
  • Green Tiles
These titles either come randomly or because of usage of longer words. They give the player extra points, but it doesn't help as much as any other bonus tile. Unlike gold tiles, these come down, instead of trading a random letter.
  • Gold Tiles, Diamond Tiles, and Sapphire Tiles - These tiles are awarded to indicate skill in forming longer words. Using these tiles in subsequent words increase the number of points earned by the word. It takes progressively longer for burning tiles to burn through the higher value tiles. The player mostly gets these titles if he or she gives a five-letter word.
  • Burning Tiles - Throughout the game, burning red letters appear, increasing in frequency at higher difficulty levels. These letters automatically move downwards, and if they reach the bottom of the grid, the entire library is burned, ending the game. Hence, players must take care to remove these letters (by using them to form a word) as quickly as possible.

Other elements

If the player clicks on Lex (off to the side of the play area), all of the tiles will be scrambled; however, this will produce a light to medium onrush of red tiles. If players scramble two or more times in a row, a large number of fire tiles will begin to appear on the board. Nonetheless, this provides a way to create more word combinations, as over time, less frequently used letters will otherwise gather in certain areas.
If desired, the game can be played in "Action" mode (as opposed to the "Classic" mode discussed above). In this mode, the game runs in real-time, periodically adding a new red tile every few seconds. These tiles must be dealt with quickly, leaving little time to plan longer words before having to turn one’s attention to another red tile. It may also destroy the tile underneath it.

Strategy

As the player advances to each succeeding level, red tiles appear more frequently and offer more letter combinations designed to present multiple word options to the player; for example, "cow", "scow", "scowl", or "scowled". In many cases, the player must overcome the urge to immediately get rid of the tile. Instead, he or she must scan the board and look for opportunities to make the best possible word. When two or more red tiles appear, the player must judge which tile(s) should be attended to first, so as to minimize the chance of a red tile being a letter that cannot be used later. If the player can't use a red tile immediately, he or she should at least try to use the tile it touches below as this will automatically be burned through. The exception to this is when a red tile appears on top of a green, gold, sapphire or diamond tile. If this occurs, the colored tile will "hold" the red tile a little longer, allowing the player to have a better chance of creating more favorable letter combinations if the red tile is surrounded by letters that can't be used to form a word. As one becomes more experienced at word making, it will become easier to make more and varied words. If the player settles for succeeding instances of shorter, simpler words, the spate of new red tiles will become overwhelming and the game will quickly end. By maneuvering sapphire and diamond tiles to the base of the board a buffer is created giving more time to deal with burning tiles. At times one needs to "risk" letting red tiles fall to clear out clumps of unwanted letters. In this case, one needs to plan ahead for words that will use the red toward the bottom of a column.

Tips For Higher Scores

Look for (or create) letter combinations like "tion" or "ing" that will help in creating longer words, e.g. "evacuating" or "evacuation". The longer the word the more points you get and the more golden, sapphire or diamond tiles you earn. Also remember you can create compound words such as "bloodthirsty".

Game modes

The modes of the game include "Classic" and "Action". Classic mode is generally easier, because the player has an unlimited amount of time to form words. In contrast, if the burning tile is at the bottom of the screen the player can't scramble, in action mode, tiles move on their own, and a larger number of red (burning) tiles spontaneously appear. As a result, it is generally easier to create longer words in classic mode, whereas in action mode, the primary goal is often to simply remove red tiles before they cause the game to end. In action mode, one can scramble the tiles even when red tiles appear at the bottom of the game board (unlike in classic mode), but one loses the ability to do so if there are too many red tiles on the board.
The title features a separate high score "Hall of Fame" for each of the two modes.

High scores

The maximum score the player can reach on Bookworm is 2.14-billion. See below, extracted from Bookworm's producer,Popcap Games' website: quote:
"The maximum score the player can reach on Bookworm is 2.14 billion, because the game doesn't correctly interpret scores above this value. The data structure that holds the score only has so much space, and at 2.14 billion is where the game runs out of possible values. As a result, the player will end up with the score flipping and a large negative number (example -2,147,483,647), when increased beyond the limit." -

Bonus word

If the player can get the bonus word, the player gets extra points. For example: if the player spells the word "Hap", the game will give him or her 1,000 points. These bonuses rise with each matched bonus word: e.g., 1,000; 2,000; 4,000; 6,000; 10,000; 15,000; etc.

App Version Books

In the App Version of Bookworm you can also collect and complete "books" which are groups of words in a similar category. Once you complete the first of any of these words in a particular category you "unlock" the book, and are given a complete list of the words you must make in order to complete the book and get bonus points.
Books: Body Parts, Clothing, Colors, Fruits, Insects, Minerals, Pets, Tools, Vegetables.
In the Kindle version you cannot form words with more than 8 letters.

GTA Vice city (without sound)

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a 2002 open world action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North (formerly DMA Design) in the United Kingdom and published by Rockstar Games. It is the second 3D game in the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise and sixth original title overall. It debuted in North America on October 1, 2002 for the PlayStation 2 and was later ported to the Xbox, and Microsoft Windows in 2003. It was made available on Steam on January 4, 2008, and on the Mac App Store on August 25, 2011.[2] Vice City was preceded by Grand Theft Auto III and followed by Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Vice City draws much of its inspiration from 1980s American culture. Set in 1986 in Vice City, a fictional city modeled after Miami, the story revolves around psychotic Mafia hitman Tommy Vercetti, who was recently released from prison. After being involved in a drug deal gone wrong, Tommy seeks out those responsible while building a criminal empire and seizing power from other criminal organizations in the city. The game uses a tweaked version of the game engine used in Grand Theft Auto III and similarly presents a huge cityscape, fully populated with buildings, vehicles, and people. Like other games in the series, Vice City has elements from driving games and third-person shooters, and features "open-world" gameplay that gives the player more control over their playing experience.
Upon its release, Vice City became the best-selling video game of 2002. In July 2006, Vice City was the best-selling PlayStation 2 game of all time. Vice City also appeared on Japanese magazine Famitsu's readers' list of the favorite 100 videogames of 2006, the only fully Western title on the list.[3] Following this success, Vice City saw releases in Europe, Australia and Japan, as well as a release for the PC. Rockstar Vienna also packaged the game with its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto III, and sold it as Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack for the Xbox. Vice City's setting is also revisited in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, which serves as a prequel to events in Vice City.

Plot

Tommy Vercetti, a member of the Liberty City mafia, has been just released from prison in 1986 after serving only 15 years for killing eleven men.[4] Tommy's old boss, Sonny Forelli, fears that Tommy's presence in Liberty City will heighten tensions and bring unwanted attention to his organization's criminal activities.[5] To prevent this, Sonny ostensibly promotes Tommy and sends him to Vice City under the guardianship of Mafia lawyer Ken Rosenberg to act as their buyer for a series of cocaine deals.[6] During Tommy's deal with the Vance Crime Family at the docks, an ambush by an unknown party results in the death of Tommy's bodyguards and the cocaine dealer, Victor Vance (the main character of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories). Tommy narrowly escapes with his life and loses both Forelli's money and the cocaine.[7]
When Tommy informs Sonny of the ambush Sonny loses his temper and threatens Tommy with the consequences of attempting to cheat the Mafia. Tommy promises to retrieve the money and the cocaine and kill whoever was responsible for the ambush.[8] Towards this end, Tommy meets up again with Ken Rosenberg, who leads Tommy to mid-level drug dealer Juan Garcia Cortez. Cortez expresses regret about Tommy's bad deal and promises that his own lines of inquiry are being made. Tommy also meets Cortez's daughter Mercedes, who becomes Tommy's confidant shortly thereafter.
While Tommy waits for the outcome of Cortez's investigation he meets British record producer Kent Paul, real estate mogul Avery Carrington and local free-lance criminal Lance Vance.,[9] the brother and business partner of the dealer who was killed in the ambush, who is also seeking revenge.[10]
As time passes, Tommy befriends Cortez and begins to do regular work for him as an errand boy and hitman. On one such job Tommy provides protection for drug lord Ricardo Diaz during a deal which is ambushed by a gang of Haitians. Tommy saves Diaz's life, leading Diaz to begin hiring Tommy for his own agenda. Tommy takes this work because it pays well, in spite of his distaste for Diaz's character.
Tommy learns from Cortez that Cortez's own lieutenant, Gonzalez, was partially responsible for the ambush on Tommy's cocaine deal, and Cortez asks Tommy to kill Gonzalez as a favor. Afterwards Cortez lays suspicion for the ambush on Diaz. Tommy initially continues the status quo to prepare for his attack, but his hand is forced when Lance attempts to take revenge by himself and fails, forcing Tommy to rush across the city and rescue him. With the die cast, the two move quickly to raid Diaz's mansion and execute Diaz. With Diaz dead, and Colonel Cortez fleeing the country to escape arrest, the established drug empires in Vice City quickly crumble and Tommy and Lance personally take over, becoming Vice City's cocaine kingpins.
Tommy becomes the head of his own organization, the Vercetti crime family, and the more powerful and rich Tommy becomes, the more Lance begins to exhibit paranoid and sociopathic behaviors, to the point that he begins to abuse his own bodyguards and constantly calls Tommy in states of hysteria.
Tommy makes alliance with Umberto Robina's Cubans against Auntie Poulet's Haitians, even though he is at the same time hypnotized by Poulet's voodoo into helping the Haitians. However after Tommy and Poulet part ways Tommy and the Cubans sneak explosives into the Haitian drug factory disguised in Haitian gang cars and blow it up, effectively ending the conflict.
As his drug business expands, Tommy buys assets in nearly bankrupt companies such as a car lot, a cab depot, a strip club, a night club, a boathouse, a print shop for counterfeit money, an ice-cream company, and an adult film company, all of which he turns back into competitive businesses. He also becomes a personal bodyguard to a rock band, an honorary member of a biker gang, and pulls off a major bank heist.
Eventually the Forelli family discovers that Tommy has taken over much of the action in Vice City without sending a cut to Sonny as required. Sonny sends collectors to force money out of Tommy's assets, but Tommy disposes of them. An angered Sonny Forelli arrives in Vice City with a small army of mafiosi, intent on taking their tribute by force. When Sonny and his henchmen arrive at the Vercetti Estate, Tommy attempts to give them their tribute in counterfeit money. However, Lance, resenting Tommy's substantial share of their profits, makes a back-room deal with the Forelli's to topple the Vercetti family, and informs Sonny that the tribute money is counterfeit. In the game's climax, Tommy stands alone as Lance, Sonny, and Sonny's henchmen raid Tommy's Mansion.
Tommy first chases, ridicules, and finally kills Lance then storms downstairs where he faces off with Sonny. During the gunfight, Sonny admits he is the one who set Tommy up fifteen years before, sending him to kill the eleven men who were expecting him. Tommy eventually kills Sonny in the main hall of his estate. With his enemies vanquished, Tommy establishes himself as the undisputed crime kingpin of Vice City.
